We are seeking to appoint for September 2020, an outstanding and dynamic Teacher with excellent interpersonal skills to teach predominantly Food alongside Design Technology at KS3 and Food at KS4. Somebody who can inspire young people to develop and creatively explore their ideas, skills and confidence in a range of technical disciplines.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational practitioner with a proven track record of securing outcomes across the key stages and have a genuine commitment to teaching and developing a love of the technical and creative arts.

CLASSROOM SUPPORT ASSISTANT Scale 5-6 (actual £10,862.24 - £11,191.33 pa) 25 hours per week TTO + 5 Inset days Temporary rolling contract

DESIGN TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN Scale 5-6 £8,591.35 - £8,917.64 actual pa Part Time 2.5 days per week TTO + 4 weeks Fixed term contract

Are you a talented, dynamic and creative individual who can bring their skill and personality into the role of Design Technology Technician? If so read on…

Your responsibilities will predominantly be in relation to the Food Technology, CDT and Textiles Departments. The right candidate will work to support the team providing students with a relevant and effective technology experience and ensure high levels of achievement in our outstanding Art & Design Technology Faculty.

You must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure, be a team player and show high levels of initiative and work ethic to be successful in the post. Please note that the role involves some manual handling with occasional heavy lifting with a strong awareness of health & safety.

This is a fixed term contract from September 2020 to July 2021 but may become permanent subject to curriculum changes.

Previous experience of working with children and young people is essential as is a desire to want to make a difference and is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is considering a career as a Design Technology teacher.
