Safer Internet Day

RAINHILL HIGH SCHOOL SAFER INTERNET DAY 2018

Safer Internet Day will be a focus in school next week looking at this year’s theme “Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”.

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and the campaign sees hundreds of organisations unite to raise awareness of online safety issues and run events and activities right across the UK.

As parents wanting to encourage your son/daughter to keep safe on the internet, you can find out more about Safer Internet Day 2018, access educational and film resources, and learn how you can get involved by visiting www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internetday/2018

We hope that you will join with us and Safer Internet Day supporters across the globe, who will mark this on Wednesday 7th February 2018, to be the change and unite for a better internet!

The day offers the opportunity to highlight positive uses of technology and to explore the role we all play in helping to create a better and safer online community. It calls upon young people, parents, carers, teachers, social workers, law enforcement, companies, policymakers, and wider, to join together in helping to create a better internet.
