Students, their parents and teachers are all celebrating at Rainhill High School.  For the fourth year in a row, GCSE results at the school have risen.  The new highest grade 9 is proving very popular at Rainhill.

Joe Brabin achieved a grade 9 in all of his 9 subjects.  He achieved a 9 in English, English Literature, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computing, History and Spanish. Joe from Eccleston Park, attended Prescot Primary School. Joe is staying on Rainhill Sixth Form Centre to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths.

John Pout, Executive Principal of Rainhill High School says:“I am delighted for Joe and all of his fellow students.  They have been brilliantly well taught and have got lots of support from their parents.  Most of all, they have worked very hard and have shown considerable resilience.

I am delighted that the school’s performance continues to improve.  Underneath all of the data, statistics and league tables, there are lots of children with great GCSE grades that will help them in the Sixth Form and onto University or Apprenticeships.

Given the changes nationally and level of volatility across the country, with the uncertainty this has created; Rainhill High School teachers have done a brilliant job ensuring our pupils have done so well.”
