2016 is Another Fantastic Year for Rainhill!

This year Rainhill 6th Form continues its excellent track record of A’ level results and continues to go from strength to strength. Vocational courses ranging from Science to Dance have smashed targets with 86% of all vocational entries achieving a distinction or distinction*.

In 2016 A level candidates achieved the highest proportion of A*/A grades in the school’s history and 100% of A level entries achieved a ‘good pass’. The Arts Academy achieved exceptional results across the full range of A level art subjects and excellent performance was seen in the full range of academic subjects including Chemistry, French, Government and Politics, Spanish and Textiles. Other subjects performing particularly well include Further Mathematics, Physics, Mathematics, Law, RE, English Literature, Economics, Psychology and History with over half of subject entries being grade B or above.

John Pout, Rainhill’s Headteacher said:

“I am so proud of our students and their achievements. This is down to the hard work and dedication of the students and staff at the school. The support from parents has been fantastic once again and we simply could not achieve results like this without their support. This year we have students who have secured places at Britain’s most prestigious Universities including Oxford, St Andrew’s and Warwick. Many other students are going to Russell group Universities to study their degrees. We are very proud of them all and wish them every success for the future”.
